The following changes in requirements to the Standard for Ice Cream Makers, UL 621, are being proposed:

1. Addition of requirements for switches and controls

2. Revision of requirements for cordsets and power supply cords

3. Clarification of requirements for lampholders

4. Clarification of requirements for power transformers

5. Clarification of requirements for leakage current

6. Addition of requirements for alternate spacings

7. Revisions to internal wiring requirements

8. Addition of requirements for secondary circuits

9. Addition of an exception to paragraph 23.1.2.2 that allows components to be evaluated to UL 60730-1 and UL 60730-2-9

10. Revisions for requirements for motors and motor protection

11. Addition of glossary terms, requirements for nonmetallic materials, fastener strength and burnout tests

12. Addition of test conditions for input test and temperature-pressure test

13. Addition of strain relief test

14. Clarification of requirement for cord connected equipment
