1. UL's response to comments received on the proposed new Third Edition of UL 300 balloted in the Subject 300 bulletin dated August 24, 2004. Comments were received and a proposed resolution developed on the following topic:

a. Performance Requirements for Cooking Areas Protected with Multiple Nozzles.

2. Additional revisions to the proposed new/revised requirements for Third Edition of UL 300 that are the result of comments received. Amended proposed requirements include the following topic:

a. Performance Requirements for Cooking Areas Protected With Multiple Nozzles

3. Comments received on the proposed new Third Edition of UL 300 balloted in the bulletin dated August 24, 2004 that are being "held" pending working group activity. Comments received on the following topics have been assigned to the newly formed "Installation, Maintenance, and Markings Working Group" to develop a proposed resolution.

b. Deep Fat Fryer Performance Requirements for Appliances with Faster Cooling Rated than 5� per Minute.

c. Addition of New Maintenance Instruction Requirements.

This bulletin proposes the Third Edition of UL 300. The following changes in the requirements are being proposed:

This proposed new edition is a periodic re-issuance to ensure that UL’s Standards remain up to date with regard to format and editorial issues such as numbering, pagination, and cross-referencing. This proposed new edition also includes revisions and clarifications to the current edition of UL 300. Specific topics include the following:

1. Revision of Title and Scope

2. Cooking Areas Protected With Multiple Nozzles

3. Drip Pans For Indicated Appliances

4. Fabricated Appliances / Commercially Available Unit

5. Appliances with Faster Cooling Rates than 5 �F per Minute
